Georgia On My Mind

Chautauqua performer Diane Moran performs Georgia O'Keeffe inspired life stories taken from the documented letters of O'Keeffe's many friends and her husband celebrated photographer Alfred Steigtliz. The life of the artist was not all world acclaim; she had her share of deep unhappiness and public condemnation. Throughout her life she remained totally devoted to art, making her truly the "mother of modernism" in painting. Diane will be accompanied by lovely period melodies from songstress Pat Frank.  Of note: Diane will "become" Georgia O'Keeffe in this performance showing the good and the bad in her life. Caution with small children is advised. 

Light refreshments and wine donated by Magnificent Missouri will be served, and art inspired by the work of O'Keeffe will adorn the walls.
