Things to Do
Building & Architecture
The Creative at Klondike is housed in a remarkable building known for its distinctive architecture and dramatic setting. Designed by renowned architect Charles E. King. It was originally built as a private residence known as the Quarry House.

Klondike History
Long before it became a destination for wine and nature lovers, the Klondike area played an important role in Missouri's industrial history. The nearby silica quarry supplied the high-quality sand used in glass manufacturing, while the adjacent railroad provided a vital transportation link for moving materials to factories.
Experience the past on our Klondike History Wall.

Art Galleries
The Creative is home to three unique gallery spaces that celebrate both established and emerging regional artists. From thoughtfully curated exhibitions in the Macler Gallery to rotating displays in the Quarry and Overlook Galleries, visitors can experience a diverse range of artistic voices, mediums, and perspectives.
Discover the current artists and ideas filling our galleries.
Special Events & Performances
Events and performances offer another way to engage with the arts. Live music, performances, artist talks, receptions, and special events bring our community together for connection, conversation, and new experiences.
Classes - Workshops - Demonstrations
Creativity is better when it’s shared. Our classes, workshops, and demonstrations bring people together to learn, make, experiment, and connect. We offer opportunities to explore new mediums, techniques, styles, and creative processes - all while making memories along the way.
Gallery Gift Shop
Our Gallery Gift Shop features an ever-changing collection of art and handcrafted goods by local and regional artists and makers. From jewelry and pottery to framed art, fiber works, home décor, and one-of-a-kind finds, there’s always something new to discover at every visit.
Take home something artsy - and support an artist along the way.
