About

Magnificent Missouri will celebrate 20 years of connection between land conservation and the art created by Bryan Haynes.  Sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council and Magnificent Missouri. There will be a 6:00 PM program with Dan and Connie Burkhardt, along with artist Bryan Haynes.  A reception will follow with hors d'oeuvres from Sunflower Hill Farm and Bethlehem Valley Norton wine.

May 13, 6:00 PM - RSVP appreciated

For twenty years, this team has celebrated a connection between people and the Missouri River valley by promoting this idea:

“We are fortunate to live, work and visit a place with so much natural beauty, history and talent” – Dan Burkhardt.

On display throughout the space were beautiful banners showcasing images created by Bryan for the book Growing Up with the River: Nine Generations on the Missouri. Full of talent and grace, Bryan’s work tells the story of our region through historically accurate imagery illuminated with a feeling of light and brilliant color, which are his distinctly.

Following the presentation, guests were invited to stay and enjoy a casual social hour while the Burkhardt’s shared their Bethlehem Valley Norton, a wine made from the Missouri state grape, with hors d’oeuvres from Sunflower Hill Farm, a local farm-to-table eatery. This evening was entertaining, informative, and beautiful.
