The Art of Conservation
On Saturday, May 13, AT 6 PM The Creative at Klondike hosted “The Art of Conservation”, a celebration of the decades-long collaboration between Magnificent Missouri and Bryan Haynes. For twenty years, this team has celebrated a connection between people and the Missouri River valley by promoting this idea:
“We are fortunate to live, work and visit a place with so much natural beauty, history and talent” – Dan Burkhardt.
On display throughout the space were beautiful banners showcasing images created by Bryan for the book Growing Up with the River: Nine Generations on the Missouri. Full of talent and grace, Bryan’s work tells the story of our region through historically accurate imagery illuminated with a feeling of light and brilliant color, which are his distinctly.
Following the presentation, guests were invited to stay and enjoy a casual social hour while the Burkhardt’s shared their Bethlehem Valley Norton, a wine made from the Missouri state grape, with hors d’oeuvres from Sunflower Hill Farm, a local farm-to-table eatery. This evening was entertaining, informative, and beautiful.
