Open Press Sessions
We're very excited about this new venture at The Creative, highlighting our donated manual printing press and developing Print Shop.
We are currently planning these sessions on the First Thursdays of each month, beginning on August 6th from 6-8pm.
We'll be exploring the large variety of printmaking processes available to us now that we have this press. Most of these sessions will consist of demonstrations, with some possibility of hands-on activities down the line.

Session 1: What is Printmaking?
August 6th 6-8pm
In our inaugural "Open Press" session, we introduce guests to the variety of printmaking media and processes that are possible using the new press. The host will guide visitors through a simple monotype/relief project that will explore the capabilities of color, texture, and expressiveness that they can achieve with this powerful creative tool. Along the way, visitors should gain a clearer idea of the potential of printmaking.
