Women in Focus St. Louis (WIFSTL) is a non-profit, artist-initiated organization of women photographers who have joined together to support and promote the photographic arts.
Our epic journey began when Gittel Price started the first group in Atlanta in 1993. She recognized the need for a formal network of women photographers who could assist in each other’s personal, professional, and artistic growth. WIF has become a thriving organization whose diverse membership includes photographic artists ranging from beginners to seasoned professionals, all brought together by their passion for photography. There are currently branches in Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, and Las Vegas.
Members gather for monthly meetings, go on photo adventures, have regular photo challenges, and showcase our work across metropolitan St. Louis. Our work has been exhibited at Grafica Fine Art & Custom Framing, Third Degree Glass Factory, St. Louis Community College at Meramec, the Webster Groves Library, and Union Avenue Christian Church.
Our members have an opportunity to be in an environment that fosters creativity, knowledge sharing, and connection within the creative community. If you’re interested in joining in our collective activities, we ask you to make an annual contribution of $30 to cover the costs of participating in meetings, speakers, events and exhibits.
