Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time, this workshop teaches the one skill that changes everything — how to see your subject in simple shapes and values before you touch color. In this hands-on 90-minute session, you’ll practice a guided value study using professional grayscale markers — all supplies included. Every participant takes home their own sketchbook to keep, so you can carry this new way of seeing into your own practice. This class is a great first taste of value and simplification — the same foundation we dig into much further in my full-length “See Like an Artist” workshop, where we build on these skills and start painting!
